Account & Login

How do I create an account?
Creating an account is simple! Click the "Sign Up" button on the homepage, enter your email address, create a password, and verify your email. Once verified, you can start evaluating people and viewing reports.
I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
On the login page, click "Forgot Password" and enter your email address. We'll send you a secure link to reset your password. If you don't receive the email within 5 minutes, check your spam folder or contact support@peoplesperception.com.
How do I update my profile information?
Go to your profile page by clicking your name in the top-right corner, then select "Edit Profile." You can update your name, location, profile photo, and other personal details. Remember to click "Save Changes" when you're done.

Reports & Evaluations

How do I search for someone to evaluate?
Use the search bar on the main dashboard. Enter the person's name and, if needed, their location to narrow down results. Click "Load Report" next to their name to view their profile and evaluation report. If they're not in our system yet, you can add them and be the first to evaluate!
What is a Character Metric score?
The Character Metric is a 0-10 rating based on community evaluations. It reflects how people in the community view someone's character, trustworthiness, and behavior. Scores are calculated from multiple questions answered by real people who know or have interacted with the individual.
Can I see who evaluated someone?
No. All evaluations are anonymous to protect the privacy and safety of evaluators. We believe anonymity encourages honest, unbiased feedback without fear of retaliation.
How many evaluations are needed for a complete report?
A "complete" evaluation requires responses to all questions in the evaluation form. However, partial evaluations (where some questions are answered) still contribute to the overall Character Metric and report data. The more evaluations someone has, the more accurate their report becomes.
Can I edit or delete my evaluation after submitting?
Currently, evaluations cannot be edited or deleted once submitted to ensure data integrity. If you submitted an evaluation in error or have concerns about accuracy, please contact support@peoplesperception.com with details about the evaluation.
What do the ranking classifications mean (Icon, Decent, Solid, etc.)?
Rankings are based on Character Metric scores:
Icon (9.0-10): Exceptional character, highly trusted
Decent (7.0-8.9): Good reputation, generally reliable
Solid (5.0-6.9): Average standing, some concerns
Bad News (3.0-4.9): Significant issues reported
FAFO (0-2.9): Serious red flags, proceed with caution

Privacy & Safety

Is my information kept private?
Yes. Your account information, email, and evaluation activity are kept confidential. Evaluations you submit are anonymous. We never share your personal data with third parties without your consent.
What if someone has incorrect information about me?
If you believe your report contains inaccurate information or inappropriate content, please contact support@peoplesperception.com with your name, location, and specific concerns. Our team will review the report and take appropriate action.
How do you prevent fake or malicious evaluations?
We use multiple safeguards including account verification, IP tracking, pattern detection algorithms, and manual review of flagged content. Multiple evaluations from different sources help balance out any outliers. Users can also report suspicious evaluations.

Technical Issues

The page won't load or is displaying incorrectly. What should I do?
Try these steps:
1. Hard refresh the page (Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows, Cmd+Shift+R on Mac)
2. Clear your browser cache and cookies
3. Try a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)
4. Disable browser extensions temporarily
5. Check your internet connection
If the issue persists, contact support@peoplesperception.com with your browser type and version.
Why can't I see the evaluation badges or photos?
This may be due to:
• Cached data - Try clearing your browser cache
• Slow internet - Wait a few seconds for images to load
• No data available - If someone hasn't been evaluated yet or has no photos, badges/photos won't display
• Browser issue - Try refreshing or using a different browser
The print/PDF function isn't working. How do I generate a report?
Click the green "Print" button on the report page. If it doesn't work:
1. Ensure pop-ups are enabled in your browser
2. Try using your browser's print function (Ctrl+P or Cmd+P)
3. Save as PDF by selecting "Save as PDF" in the print dialog

  1. Go to the main dashboard
  2. Enter the person's name in the search bar
  3. Add location details if needed to narrow results
  4. Click "Load Report" next to their name
  5. View their Character Metric, evaluations, and Quick Facts

Step-by-step guide to submitting an honest and helpful evaluation.

  1. Search for the person or add them if not in the system
  2. Click "Evaluate" on their profile
  3. Answer character questions honestly based on your experience
  4. Complete Quick Facts section (kids, co-parenting, etc.)
  5. Review your responses and click "Submit Experience"

📊 How to Understand Reports

Decode the Character Metric, rankings, and evaluation data.

  1. Check the Character Metric score (0-10 scale)
  2. Review the ranking classification (Icon, Decent, Solid, etc.)
  3. Read the AI-generated community summary
  4. Look at evaluation counts (Complete vs. Partial)
  5. Check Quick Facts for key personal details
  6. Review individual question scores in the detailed report

  1. Navigate to the person's report page
  2. Click the green "Print" button
  3. In the print dialog, select "Save as PDF"

🔒 How to Maintain Privacy

Protect your identity while contributing evaluations.

  1. All evaluations are automatically anonymous
  2. Your email is never shown to evaluated individuals
  3. Use a unique, secure password for your account
  4. Avoid sharing your login credentials
  5. Log out when using shared or public computers

📸 How to Add Photos to Profiles

Upload profile photos to help identify individuals.

  1. Navigate to the person's profile
  2. Click "Add Photo" or "Upload Photo"
  3. Select an appropriate, recognizable photo
  4. Ensure the photo meets community guidelines
  5. Click "Upload" to add the photo to their profile
